You can take something that only you see the potential in, and you turn it into something valuable where everyone else saw nothing. That thing is like an outward manifestation of your spirit at that point. And all that advice you are giving, i think, is so in line with that even right down to the forget about big. Not forget about big gess, but don't base your success o that for a hypothetical podcaster.
