The Pelvic Anatomy
The pelvis is a ring-like structure linking your axial skeleton to all of that trunk, the upper limbs and the head. It's made up of four bones, the right and the left, a nominate bone or hip bones. And basically, that's like having an ear on each side. You've got this triangle in the middle, which is going to be your sacrum and then your coccyx hanging off the bottom of your sacrum. So we're not really that interested in the coccyx because unless you sat there wagging your tail, it hasn't got a massive amount of function.
