The Ontology of Kisses

There are two ways you might talk about kisses. In a well-regulated scientific language, we would not have expressions such as giving kisses that imply ontological commitments that we don't really mean. It's okay for convenience for us to use that kind of talk as long as we understand how it is to be analyzed away. The references to things or the mentioning of things that no matter how much we tinker with the way we express our thoughts, we can't get rid of.
