Structuring a Story With Multiple Main Characters
How you structure a story with multiple main characters depends on the type of plot. The term protagonist refers to the character who makes things happen and moves the plot forward. Sometimes we see this approach with stories in which the two characters are not structural equals, but still receive equal emphasis within the story. We also sometimes see it in mysteries where partner detectives are featured equally.
