In leviticus, we read about the land of israel itself. When we say holy, we mean spiritual. Of course, it's also a physical land. But it's a physical land that also has spiritual power to we're told in later on leviticus that if people sin, the land itself will expel us. It will vomit us out. And i think we could look at this general principle as a continuation of the laws of eating cocher foods and avoiding non coser foods.
