The Dangers of Teaching Money Too Early

When I was learning like a history class, discussions about money or the economic realities of a people were never talked about. So I came up with this, sort of a, it's not like a back of the envelope, but it's sort of an easy mental model to think about areas that human beings have had. Human beings have had with basically technological innovations regarding money and it can help sort of frame your understanding of history. When you're designing a course you have a decision to make, do you go and get a textbook or not? I am someone who's pretty anti-textbook. I don't like textbooks.
