Nita Farhani is a professor of law and philosophy at Duke University. She says the experiments on pigs could affect our definition of death. NEDA is actively engaged on a process that might change laws, might change the definition of death in America.

Death used to be fairly self-evident, but new technologies have forced us to ask: When is someone actually dead? And now, new research is raising a further question: Could death someday be reversible?
