Yamaguchi: This was a little bit early in our understanding of radiobology and radiation protection, actually. Marie cure and pierre curi were affected a lot by the radiation that they were sort of literally carrying around. They could have done it years earlier, like two or three years earlier, with their first version of the experiment, if theyhad actually realized. So it is a lovely human story in that sense of, you know, the foibles of human nature.
