The Importance of Horror Films
Hitchcock is explicitly using the imagery of horror movies. And it's quite interesting sometimes seeing horror films that aren't shot like that. I'm fed up with so-called horror fans going to films to say this isn't proper horror because there are the guts on the floor. It's a bit of a futile argument sort of then using the fact that horror is a style as well as a genre to invalidate or include works.
