The one dimensional man is a big part of it. It's an attempt to understand why the bureaucratic structure of capitalism tends towards totalization, precluding genuine opposition. The matrix need have to generate disturbances to s to its equilibrium in order to preserve the sense of reality. And so am picon develops artificial negativity as a way of trying to up date that account but also to point to its limitations.
