Are Nuclear Weapons Useful in the Battlefield?

I don't think that nuclear coercion will work. But if we're talking about actual options, you can see a pretty substantial or significant gradient of options. A high altitude nuclear explosion that has effects but doesn't necessarily result in casualties or destruction on the ground. You might see something along the lines of single strike against some kind of critically important object. I want folks to be overly cautious in not being dismissive about the potential what nuclear weapons can do.
