The Battle Creek Sanitarium

The Battle Creek Sanitarium still exists. However, it's not the building cornflakes were accidentally made in. Just a few short years after the Kellogg brothers' discovery, the original complex of wooden buildings that housed the sand burned to the ground. Dr. John Kellogg petitioned the church to build a new sanitarium. The federal government owns the building and tours are open to the public.
