Unholy: Two Jews on the News
The Desperation of a Novelist
I didn't want to write a Jewish book as a consequence of that I wrote nothing. The best writing is often about what you don't know but you're very very hard to write in hiding and it was only when I was forced out of hiding that I realized for the book that I now realized I had to write which was a book of desperation. If I was to describe what it is to have a Jewish imagination I would say it is partly obsessive it's a form of intellectual OCD rubbing away at a spot all the time. There are so many great moments like not even to try, says Jaime Rosenberg.
