The Importance of Slow Pacing

In 2014, I went to Kenya for seven weeks and trained with the Kenyans. And one thing was Kenyan time and they were just really slow at doing things. They got stuck in a two-hour traffic jam - which was often the case because their roads were not the best. But that was something that I didn't feel like the culture, that culture, that was the biggest thing that I took away from that experience. There's a wonderful book, I absolutely adore her writing and Andrew Rebecca Solmet wrote a book in 2001 called Wanda Lust, A History of Walking. Her prologue in that book has kind of just hung around and it rears its head in various ways
