Last powerful on that. That's very powerful. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I can empathize, I can see that, and I can also empathize with both sides a little bit, because being in that situation and making so many mistakes with half times, it's hard. It's hard as I spoke to someone about this in a podcast a week. So it's hard to do nothing as a coach. Very, very difficult. Yeah,
Speaker 1
it takes great resolve. It takes great resolve. But I think if coach has really sort of answered the question, but why are you doing it? I mean, famously, Philip Bryan, right? Philip Bryan, didn't he hear a half time talk? You were for Hull, was he Bryan? Yeah. He had a half time talk on the pitch with a man city versus, was he losing about three littles from the phone at the half time. And then, he took the whole team. I didn't have the lecture on the pitch in front of his own, the way fans and went round like this and did the fingers. And, you know, I actually, I commend him for that for one reason. Those players did not forget that experience, I suspect.

There's so this is this is a great conversation. I think if you're a coach listing, you're, you're engaged or you're thinking a little bit more about this topic, which is, which is what we said to do. Let's, let's say that as we, as we won't take much more of your time up, let's say that you're a coach that struggles to get feedback. I know a lot of coaches do, as outside coaching licenses is very, very difficult for someone to be honest with you or someone to give you a little two or three points. Let's just say you're a coach in the US. I don't think it's really hard to get to video your own. You just say to the players, I listen, I'm going to send us into someone, get a little bit of support trying to improve something. Players are open to it. Would you be open to coaches reaching out to you in that regard?
Speaker 1
Yeah, actually very, very much so. And actually, you know, I run a little, I run at the sort of short halftime courses. And I, I've, I think I've had four running to that course. And every time Gary, I've asked people, you need to pay for it. It's not like, but you can be the pay to go in the course. Or you can send a copy of your recent hot and you go for free. Have a guess how many I've

been sent. Very few, like three or four. One.
Speaker 1
come through. So I thought, wow, okay, that must be. And so I say, look, if you send me your example half time talk, which I can use for training purposes. But if hardly anybody wants to do it, because I don't know, I'm going to use of guessing what they, but yeah, very happy to. Yeah, very happy to. Because getting, and that, do you honestly even getting recording yourself and saying to your players, look at players, I'm asking you to get better. I'm just doing the same. What's, what's, I think that's borderline inspiring. I'm asking you to go quicker on your 10 meters sprint or your, you know, your, your nutrition, you know, whatever the formation is. And I'm just doing the exact same. I'm trying to make sure that what I'm doing is useful to you, the players.
Speaker 2
Right. I'm an upload that I was excited about this. Any, any way to change an improvement environment, I'm all, I'm all ears. And this is, this is left up to the hype. We've done almost an hour and 30 minutes. Oh, wow. Yeah. We
Speaker 1
could, yeah. My, my voice is meeting, it says me, and don't talk too much. I always talk too much. I actually, it's, it's, I only, I tell coaches to say I have a problem saying too much. So it's kind of ironic. So situation where it's safe to much.
Speaker 2
That's what it's for. Brilliant. Brilliant. Even thank you so much. Love
