I think the notion that free speech in the West is such a big catch is becoming less and less tenable. What most people assume are the vestiges of the democratic system really are cultural capital but you don't realize where it comes from. I'm very mobile usually I'm traveling a lot spend a lot of time in Middle East and Asia for the year unless there's a crazy pandemic or crazy reactions to a pandemic as we have right now. Most Europeans believe their children will have a worse life than they themselves are having which is bad sign.
