The Relationship Between History and Biblical History
I think there is more non historical narrative in the Old Testament than people typically usually would assume. How do people get to be where they are? How did this alienation from God happen, and these types of things so the symbolic, I think, plays a larger role in those types of text. And that seems does seem to be a little bit more. Let's say historically focused, but the theological point where the hyperbole would kind of come in goes all the way back to Genesis 12 15 and 17.
