James Joyce and the Weed Brownie
Gertrude Stein and her wife Alice Bea Tolclos came up with the very first brownie recipe, at least the first one that ever went to print. In 1904, James Joyce in his hometown of Dublin would meet his future wife, Nora Barnacle. And like the absolute girl boss that every Barnacle is, Nora decided to throw her hand right down James Joyce's pants. The two of them would move on to have a very successful and long marriage as well as friendship together.
