The Mayan Calendar Was the End of the World
The Mayan calendar reset on December 21, 2012. It's the last day of the current bachtun cycle, which is a period of 144,000 days or about 394 years. In many ways, it's basically it's supposed to be a cycle. And one of the things that we for sure don't know is if the Mayan people even thought that it meant like the end of the world or anything significant at all.
