Lenin and the Bolsheviks Are Playing to Win

On december first, just after the constituent assembly elections ended, the bolshevik government straight up outlawed the cadet party. The new group was called the all russian extraordinary commission for combating counter revolution and sabotage under the council of people's commissars. That would be a precursor to calling for a third all russian congress of soviets,. which would indeed be set up as an alternative to the constituent assembly. And the reason that worked, the reason all that was considered legitimate, is because the bolsheviks won.
