The Negative Dialectic of Fanon

I think Fanon to me is really defined by his relentlessness and the sense that he would probably never be satisfied by any particular configuration. I find an interesting model of endurance because it doesn't imagine that we will ever complete the work but it also somehow is okay with different institutional experiments as part of the learning required. There's a kind of fetish of endless revolutionary endurance you can get from Fanon a really dark read on the costs of that subjectivity. He dies right in the cusp of independence it's very easy and interesting to use him to dramatize the successes and real disappointments of that project.
