The British Monarchy
The british monarchy did not go the way of the french monarchy. They were not beheaded, they weren't guillotined, right? They retained this privileged status. The capitalism that replaced feudalism basically said to all the kings and queens, including the british, you either accept to become a theatrical side show to what we are and what we do, or you disappear. That's your choice. And they're gone, and we don't ee them any more.
