Franco's Use of the Term Fascism in Spanish Scholarship
The Philand are rarely a significant focus of discussions about the Civil War, except in propagandistic discussions. Franco identified himself publicly with the Philand during the war and immediately after. He was happy to accept their support and encourage the cult of the leader Jose Antonio di Primavera. After the war, he suppressed what power the Philandists still retained as they added no value to his neo-traditionalist movement.
