The Differences Between LME and DME
Pilsner and liquid malt extract are totally different colors. I surprise shockingly different colors for being both Pilsner and malt extract. Every time I've brewed with LME versus DME, it's always been darker. The weird part of that for me is that LME comes before DME. At least my understanding of the manufacturing process is that you would expect them to look similar but they just don't.
