The Kid Is Alive!

The kid is going to wake up and everyone he knows is going to be dead. Maybe it would be kinder to kill him, but I would rather be alive if I were him. There's enough money in the ship that will all be okay for a long time. The glass facing pops open, cold vapor hisses out. And hook him from the life support and put him on my bunk. Later we'll feed him his first meal in centuries. But then we'll have jumped out of the whale falls airspace.
