The Importance of Political Power in the Church
There was all this political power tied up in the Roman Catholic Church. Therefore, the church created all of this stuff about Jesus so they could achieve that status. But what they failed to remember is that when Christianity began, that wasn't the case. Everything that happens later in Christianity rises or falls on these events that we see here in the gospel today.
