Is There a Need for More Pregnancy Trials?
There are efforts to create a computer mode s that can really simulate how a drug might behave in a person who's pregnant, and almost follow it through the body. I think there also are ways to study whether drugs cross the placenta or if they pass through breast milk. There is discussion of studying the babies and the children over time who may have had drug exposures. But these are not women in trials. These are just people who are pregnant or people who have, you know, say, crones disease.
