The State's Monopoly on Violence
The idea that somehow you can utterly trust all of government, every government agency, except for the ones who we entrust to protect us from murder and rape is bizarre. It's also bizarre to me if you're going to complain about how stupid it is for these crazy right-wingers to cling to their guns. If you actually got rid of police in this country, people would want and carry guns at all times. You are basically privatizing violence in this country if you do that.
