Practice Direction 12 J Provides Guidance to the Court in a Domestic Abuse Case
practice direction 12 j is really set out to provide guidance for the parties and the court when allegations of domestic abuse are made, or where there is s of that type of abuse. Within that practised direction, there are general principles. Children may suffer direct physical, psychological and or tional harm from living with domestic abuse,. They may also suffer harm indirectly, where the domestic abuse impairs the parent incapacity of either or both of their parents. The guidance effectively provides for these issues to be identified at an early opportunity within the proceedings.
