How much do you have to let go of your characters? Because they can't read your mind entirely. What surprised me was the fidelity they've shown to the books. And it's with the tone of the books and with the characters, the cast are brilliant. Gary Oldman and Jack Loudon get on tremendously well. They formed a real bond. The bits I'm enjoying most when I watch are the bits that I didn't write. These actors are bringing stuff to the roles which is because of their own character,. Their own personality. It's there because of these two actors who feel about each other playing these parts.
