Trans and Non Binaural Young People in the Media

This really is one of the first times that americans in general are encountering trans and non binary, an gender fluid young people in the media. So i think a lot of people are sort of asking, how did this happen? How did we get here? Is this all just some sort of new cultural trend? And one of the things that i am very happy to say as a historian is that, on the contrary, actually, there is a well documented history of trans young people ... But for a long time, their lives were much more sub cultural.
