I'm always struck by how little attention get paid to the military United States military writ large is the greatest sort of social experiment that's ever been run. The chemistry among a bunch of guys is absolutely essential to the team actually being able to cohere and do a phenomenal job or cohere and go off the rails, right? Or any one of the number of other things. And so where the critical mass is on the team, sometimes it's just a couple of guys who are the ringleaders but they represent the formal hierarchy.
