This movie was his first movie, and maybe his last movie, that was a studio movie where he actually did have authorities over him. And it carpenter was set to really kind of go on at that point to be, you know, a big studio director. The thing about practical effects is that they look the same now as then. It's also interesting how sometimes the authorities are not malicious so much as absent. Yes, thinking is like the us. Government here and the police in wen 're just like, high girls, have fun smoking a duby. I won't be able to save you from the killer.
