The Complexity of Our Minds
The amazing thing about humans is not that our genes affect the way we think and the choice we make, but how much of our behaviour seems to escape their dominating influence. Complex minds have a vast repertoire of behaviours that can be fine tuned and adjusted and actually improvised to the circumstances. What distinguishes us most in the animal kingdom is social intelligence. And no one knows why evolution made such a cognitive investment in us.
