SpaceX's Water Cooled Steel Plate System
SpaceX is trying a big steel plate to protect its launch tower from cracks and cavities. Musk tweeted out shortly after the launch that they plan on having this water cooled steel plate system installed. The other thing they can do is put an actual, like a spike, flame diverter that actually push the stuff sideways and mean that it's not coming down at 90 degrees.
