Is There a Future of India?
There's a lot of genetic diseases that are due to this sort of andogomy. Even though most of these irs don't engage in cousin marriage, they all look like cousins because they've only been marrying each other for a long time. And so if you have out marriage, even minimal out marriage, it should expose the recessive diseases to hetersygosity, and so the morbidity rate should just automatically drop. They might have some hybrid vigor. This might be the future of india, actually.
