The Kwongs' $10 Million Residence
The house was bought under Kowloon, the ex father-in-law's name. The speculation for this was that in Hong Kong, they have these special property laws where the first house you purchased, you get a massive tax break. If she had purchased it under her name on this $10.1 million property, she would have to pay $1.39 million in property taxes. But if she purchased it under somebody else's name as their first property, it's $400,000 in property Taxes. She saved a million dollars. To me, that's also just immense amount of trust. I'm not sure saving a million is good for her, but she must trust
