The Value of Biography
The art of the biographer is in presenting a way of describing and seeing somebody, so now you say, oh yeah, now they make sense. Wittgenstein raises a question, is there such a thing as an expert judgment here? And he says, well yeah, some people's judgments are better than others here. But he says not because they have a theory, but rather the expert's judgment is like the connoisseur's judgment in art.
