The Myth of Sexual Assault

The world at large often looks by rape and doesn't really face the fact that women in their society are at a great danger. Men, both straight and gay, suffered 10% of the sexual assault reported in the United States last year. Rape is used strategically and with violence and malevolence as a weapon in war and as a tool of active oppression. The element of surprise, shock, fear, or the threat of harm can overpower any victim out there. If a woman really did not want to be sexually assaulted, she could fight off her attacker.
