The Lesson From the Withered Fig Tree
Jesus curses the fig tree. The Parable of the Wicked Tenants. A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, and dug a pit for the winepress. But those tenants said to one, This is my beloved son; come let us kill him. And he sent them away empty-handed - but they killed him with some others. He had still other sons who were not so good: They will respect their father's house. Jesus' authority was questioned by the chief priests in Jerusalem.
