Lactate Inhibits Fat Oxidation

Lactate is there to remake an important compound to allow glycogen break down. So lactate by itself during exercise would not inhibit fat oxidation. And if you go to lactate, you can keep that ATP from the cytosol going. That's how we end up being able to sprint faster than what the VO2 max is.
