The Effects of Potassium on Blood Pressure
High adenosine means you're using heaps of ATP. A lot of carbon dioxide, that's the byproduct of respiration. Respiration. Lactate, increase anaerobic metabolism, so forth. But what if also this stuff would be released in cell injury as well? Yes. If potassium all of a sudden gets released into tissue, it could be an indication that we've got some cellular damage here. This is basically the metabolic control of blood vessel diameter.
