What Do We Know About the Chinese Balloon?
The Chinese balloon entered US airspace over Alaska at the end of January. It drifted southwards over Canada, and then meandered its way across the US until it was shot down off the coast of North Carolina. This just wasn't an ordinary party balloon; this was a massive structure as these kind of balloons are. The United States had every right to shoot it down. But let's not forget here that this was a violation of sovereignty,. And it also represents an escalation, and that's where it's really uncomfortable.
