The Shaggy Dog Story
I see this film as kind of an elaborate Jewish joke. And you're right, it is a shaggy dog story. Part of the joy of making the film was really packing this thing with as many gags as possible. There were moments that reminded me of Pont Stront Love and Sinek Teghi, New York. The picaresque was a tradition that I was very conscious of while I was writing this. It's something... Should play almost like a Greek play written by Tennessee Williams or something.
