Is There a Change in the Author's Attitude?

In his memoirs, gibbon says that the universal applause that greeted his first volume was nota interp ted by the barking of any profane critic. Karen: Can you see him learning as he's and developing his ideas in the writing? Absolutely. And i think that changing attitude towards christianity is very evident in the later volumes. I also think more generally, there there's are just a sense of a more multi polar history.
