The Advantages and Disadvantages of Ray Tubes
The idea here is simply that you get them out of the way of the surgical field. An MLT tube stands for a microlaryngoscopy tube and this is just essentially a long thin tube. Armored or reinforced tubes are standard PVC tubes but with a wire coil wrapped throughout which allows it to bend much more without kinking. A laser tube so these are regular PVC tubes polyvinyl chloride which is what most tubes are made out ofbut they're wrapped both in foil and then that foil is wrapped in a non-reflective coating.
