The Map That Nell Finds in the Desk
Dr. Nell is a young woman whose greatest passion has been cartography. She's lived in the field ever since she was a kid, but her mother passed away when she was very young. Seven years before the start of the novel, they end up getting in a really big argument over this map that she finds in his desk after his death. It turns out to actually contain a very deadly mystery.
