Does Liberalism Secure the Highest Moral Good?
The question is, can liberalism actually secure the highest moral good for individuals? I mean, that seems to me to be an open question. Even Rawls would say that not every worthwhile conception of human flourishing can flourish in every kind of regime. So he takes for granted that there might be some worthwhile ways of living that can't survive in a liberal regime.
