The Genetic History of the Southern Arc, a Bridge Between West Asia and Europe

The southern arc adia is divided geographically between west asia and europe. It spans the culturally entangled regions of anatolia and its neighbors in cyprus, armenia, irac and iran. Our comprehensive sampling shows that anatolea received hardly any genetic input from europe or the eurosian step from the calccalculatic to the iron age. This contract contrasts with southeastern europe and armenia which were impacted by major jian from jamnea step pastoralists. A striking signal of step migration in the southern ark is evident in armenia and north west iran where admixture with jamnia patrolinial descendants occurred.
