The Electoral Commission - It's Not a Creature of Government
There are strong links between the british conservative party and the donald trump republican party. And republicans, there are advancing measures to make it hard for people who are less likely to vote republican to go and vote. The electoral commission is essentially set up hitherto as an independent watchdog to ensure the fairness of elections. Now that will be subject to ministerial guidance. This has never happened before.
